Delay'ed' again 2

The usual tidbit and drink served onboard .


Just arrived Penang an hour ago, very tired and sleepy . I don't receive the service which I got when I encountered a delay last time. You can see this entry by clicking www.frienzz.blogspot.com/2008/12/first-time-experience.html

This time around when everyone is so tired of changing from one departure gate A6 to A7 ,then to A9 finally we got a personal apology from the pilot after we arrived at Penang International Airport . He was standing next to the aisle and behind his cockpit door saying sorry to us .I overheard one of the Eurasian lady said to her partner , after she was greeted by the pilot:

Lady: He would probably say good night instead of sorry . But , I won't forgive him totally even he apologized to me just now.

I arrived in Penang quarter past eight. I looked at the arrival display . 3 of the arrivals from KUL were within 20 minutes range .Our flight should be arriving at 6 p.m. and MH 1158 at 7.20 p.m. Now both MH1154 and MH 1158 were delayed . Both arrived within 3 minutes apart from each other . 7.56 p.m. and 7.59 p.m. respectively . Meanwhile MH 1162 was on schedule arrived at 8.13 p.m.

I felt that if there is any problem happens to the aircraft , a mere sorry wouldn't enough . Better to be late than sorry .
In my point of view , the pilot has to apologize to the passengers even though the engineers are responsible for it .

What a bad day for me again in KLIA . I was in the waiting hall for my boarding instead I was given a transit pass .

I was quite happy to be given a seat in the 5.10p.m. MH1154 flight to Penang but the happy didn't last long enough . As everyone was waiting anxiously at the waiting hall (gate A6) to board the aircraft , an announcement was made saying that there were some technical delay for about 30 minutes . But as the time passes , it was 5.40 p.m. and this time we were informed that the delay will for another hour .That wil be around 6.40 p.m.

I am now waiting outside the gate . I will report if there will be any news here after .

This week , we have the removal and installation of rigid and flexible pipelines. Most of our classmates had did it before us . To be specific on pipelines , there are a few kinds of pipelines in the aircraft :

Flexible pipelines ,

Rigid pipelines.

As the name suggested ,you would probably know the meaning of flexible and rigid . Flexible pipelines usually are interconnected with each other or with the other systems such as : engine . While rigid pipelines are used , where minimal / no vibration or motion occurs. If aircraft is subjected to heavy landing , therefore , the bending and denting of the rigid pipelines need to be replaced .

Good to know terms :

1/6 Hexagonal flat :-

A hexagonal shaped bolt has 6 sided and you need to turn face of bolt (facing you)in order to become the adjacent face of bolt (facing you).This is to ensure that appropriate torque to be applied to the bolt.

Index line(straight line painted along surface of pipeline):-

This index line is used to identify whether the pipeline has twisted or not . If the pipeline is twisted then hose failure or hose coupling leakage could occur.


Underneath the aircraft simulator lays a dozen of flexible and rigid pipelines , initially we thought 5 person working on it are enough .But , we spent almost 2.5 hours beneath the tiny space . Although it was tiring , we learned a lot of hands on experience and technique in installing the pipelines . Different size of bolts make us use different size of spanners.

I have never received a big bottle of antibiotic before in my life‭ ‬.‭ ‬It is called Zmax‭ ‬.‭ ‬After checking out the odd looking container and packaging‭ ‬,‭ ‬I searched for the necessary info online.To my surprised‭ ‬,‭ ‬it is a one dose‭ = ‬full course antibiotic‭ ‬.‭ ‬How convenient it is‭ ! ‬I don’t have to remember when to take the medicine‭ ‬.‭ ‬Really a peace of mind.‭

5.00p.m.
Remembering that some part of the Zmax‭ ‘‬s instruction manual has mentioned about common side effects including nausea‭ ‬,‭ ‬diarrhea etc.‭ ‬I had my stomach pain and rushed to the toilet‭ ‬.‭

5:48‎ ‏pm
Rushed to the airport for an earlier flight‭ ‬.‭ ‬Luckily I managed to get a seat on MH1157.‭ ‬With only a few minutes left before boarding‭ ‬,‭ ‬I again suffered from stomach pain and rushed to the toilet‭ ‬.‭ ‬I am thinking of‭ ‬what if I am now taking a bus back to KL instead of plane.‭

6.45‎ ‏p.m.
22B‎ ‏,‎ ‏not this mah‭ ! ‬With my seat in between of‭ ‬22A and‭ ‬22C‭ ‬,‭ ‬I think it was difficult for me to rush to the toilet if i needed it‭ ‬.‭ ‬Don’t care la,‭ ‬if necessary i will asked the person seating beside the aisle to give way‭ ‬.‭ ‬But the longer I sit‭ ‬,‭ ‬the pain just disappear‭ ‬.‭ ‬Another problem emerged,‭ ‬both of the hand rests were occupied and I had to squeeze myself in order not to touch their hands‭ ‬.I was not comfortable in rubbing hands with strangers‭ ‬,‭ ‬especially hairy hands‭ ‬.‭ ‬No matter what‭ ‬,‭ ‬it was just‭ ‬50‭ ‬minutes journey much shorter than the time taken if travel by bus.

Rush Rush Rush!

Those were the days ......

I have missed most of the excitement and the anxiety of being rush from one lecture room to another for a long time. Before my days here , I used to rush from one class to another especially in the morning. I had made my schedule in university life so tight until I couldn't catch my breath , I tell you it is fun because at that time there are friends around you and you laughed away those miserable things with them. For example, I still remember one of the weekdays ,I had registered my courses for 2 consecutive sessions. From 8 to 10 a.m. was my nutrition class and 10 to 12 p.m. was my Japanese class. We got the fun from rushing to another lecture room because everyone is chasing each other . Those memories were just too good to forget .

Talking about present time , I have so long did't 'rush the hell out of me ' already. I am going to have my exam tomorrow . As night falls, I received a call from our school manager saying that our exam is cancelled and no saturday activities because there is a power cut tomorrow. I was shocked due to the fact that I didn't foreseen that there will be a postponement . Anyway , I have been thinking of going back Penang next week because there is an extra public holiday which falls on the monday . But then , my throat is troubling me , I have this irritable throat infection ,I think for 3 days already . First started as a regular sore throat then fever then terrible sore until I hardly can talk and swallow (even my own saliva) . I am grateful that finally I am on my way back to Penang now to get it treated.

Oopps, I have deviate from what I am suppose to explain. The rush issue is -I was rushing to catch the bus on 7.45p.m. from our Subang Airport to KLIA . But then , when I was about to run out to catch the bus ,the bus left mercilessly . ;-( not a pity on me . Anyway , I was thinking of the time when I was at university with my friends around that would be different , different in the sense that we can enjoy the moment by talking some jokes or laughs our way through the waiting process for the next bus . But at that moment I was alone, no one was there , there was a silence in me with an empty mind. Luckily , I managed to seize the last minute before the bus left again . The bus conductor told me if I were late for another minute , the bus would left already. Luckily me !

Hokkaido White Curry

Box of Japanese White Curry

As I was browsing through the Japanese food section in a supermarket, I saw one interesting box labeled Hokkaido White Curry. Therefore I bought it . And I planned it for my dinner .
First impression after opening the box , I saw two separated section of hardened paste sealed in its individual compartments.And I teared the seal . After boiling the water with the vegetables I put the paste in it. My dinner was served in just 30 minutes . You can try it out if you want .
There are a lot of selection in the market ,including Javanese Curry etc . All the Japanese version of curry is incomparable with the local curry . But if you like the curry to be less hot and spicy then I recommend you to try it out.


The ingredients:
2 cloves of garlic
3 tablespoon of cooking oil
4 medium size potato
1 stick of carrot
250 ml of milk
500 ml of water
1 piece of paste (Hokkaido White Curry)
10 pieces of sweet peas

Instruction:
Put the cooking oil into the pot and cook with the finely chopped garlic.
Then, the water is poured into the pot and put it to a boil.
After that , the potatoes and carrot are chopped into chunks.
With the water boiling for 20 minutes , add the milk and paste into the cooking .
Add pepper and salt accordingly . And serve it with rice.

Psss:
You can replaced the rice with white rice but it tasted better with Japanese rice ( japonica).

Ready to be served.
